Puppy Mining Co ("the game", "we") is a casual idle game. This policy explains what information is collected when you play, who collects it, and the choices you have. The short version: the game has no accounts and never asks for your name, email, or contact details. The only data involved is an anonymous player ID for online features and the device advertising ID used by our ad partner.
The game shows optional, player-initiated rewarded ads (you choose to watch an ad in exchange for an in-game bonus). Ads are provided by Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) with the Unity Ads network. To deliver and measure ads, these partners may collect:
On first launch the game asks whether you want Personalized Ads or Basic Ads (Not Personalized). If you choose Basic Ads, the game instructs the ad partner not to use your data for ad personalization and signals an opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Ads.

If you use the social features, the game uses Unity Gaming Services (Authentication, Leaderboards, Friends) to store:
Your display name and scores are visible to other players on the leaderboards, and your display name is visible to players you exchange friend requests with. Please don't use your real name or other personal information as your display name. Unity processes this data under the Unity privacy policy linked above.
Game progress (bones, upgrades, achievements, settings) is saved locally on your device and is not transmitted to us. Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device; no data leaves the device for them.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or any payment information. The game contains no in-app purchases at this time.
We do not use your data for any other purpose, and we never sell it.
To request deletion of your online data (your anonymous player ID, display name, friends list, and leaderboard scores), email ghost@waldrop.me and include your friend code (shown in the game's Social menu) so we can locate the records. We will delete the data within 30 days. Local game data never reaches us, so it is yours to delete via Reset Progress or uninstalling.
Puppy Mining Co is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the game and their data should be removed, contact us at the address above and we will delete it.
Data is shared only with the service providers named in this policy (Unity / ironSource for ads and online services), solely so they can provide those services. We do not sell personal information. Choosing Basic Ads signals an opt-out of any data use that could be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA.
Online data is stored by Unity Gaming Services under their security practices. Ad-related data is retained by the advertising partners per their policies. We retain nothing ourselves — the game has no developer-operated servers.
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours (including the United States) under their own compliance frameworks, described in their policies linked above.
If the game's data practices change (for example, if in-app purchases or cloud saves are added), this policy will be updated and the effective date revised before the change ships.
